Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026 · Governing law: England and Wales
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The 4 Horsemen ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Risk Disclaimer and Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
The 4 Horsemen is an AI-powered investment thesis research and validation tool. The Platform uses large language models to analyse publicly available information and generate structured research reports for the purpose of thesis validation. It is not a financial advisory service, investment management service, or any other regulated financial service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By using the Platform you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where we have reason to believe this condition is not met.
4. Not Financial Advice
All content on the Platform is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on the Platform constitutes financial advice, investment advice, a personal recommendation, or any other regulated communication under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (UK), the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (US), or MiFID II (EU). See our full Risk Disclaimer.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations
- • Redistribute, resell, or republish Platform-generated content commercially without prior written permission
- • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or reproduce the Platform's AI models, algorithms, or proprietary systems
- • Use Platform content to provide regulated financial advice or investment recommendations to third parties
- • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform's systems or infrastructure
6. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, code, and AI-generated content, is the property of The 4 Horsemen and its operators. You may use generated content for your own personal research and reference purposes only. Unauthorised commercial use is prohibited.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
Paid subscription tiers grant access to additional Platform features as described at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Payment processing is handled by Stripe Inc. and subject to their terms.
7.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Account page (Manage Billing). Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until that date. Your account will revert to the Free tier upon cancellation.
7.2 Downgrading
You may downgrade to a lower subscription tier at any time via Manage Billing. Downgrades take effect at the next billing anniversary. Until then, you retain your current tier's credit allocation and access. Credits already consumed in the current cycle are not prorated or refunded.
7.3 Refunds
All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you are located in a jurisdiction that grants statutory cooling-off or withdrawal rights (such as the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 in the UK), those rights apply in full.
7.4 Credit Consumption & Report Counting
Each successful debate run consumes one (1) credit from your monthly allocation, regardless of subject matter. The following scenarios each constitute a distinct run and will each consume a separate credit:
- • Running an analysis on the same ticker or investment theme with a different investment horizon (e.g. running NVDA at 5 years and then again at 10 years counts as two separate runs)
- • Running the same ticker or theme with the same investment horizon more than once
- • Running any custom prompt, regardless of similarity to a previous prompt
Credits are deducted at the point the debate is initiated. Failed runs due to a server error will not consume a credit; runs that complete successfully — even if the output does not meet your expectations — will. The Platform will display a confirmation prompt when it detects a potential duplicate run to help you avoid unintentional credit consumption.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The 4 Horsemen and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to investment or trading losses, loss of data, or loss of profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page. The date at the top indicates when Terms were last revised. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be notified via email where possible.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.
12. Account Deletion
You may request permanent deletion of your account from your Account page. The following applies:
- • For paid subscribers, deletion is scheduled for the last day of the current billing period. You retain full access until that date.
- • For free-tier users, deletion takes effect immediately upon request.
- • On deletion, your personal data (name, email address, alert preferences, watchlist history, and account records) is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems.
- • Analysis reports you generated are anonymised (your email is disassociated from the content) and may be retained in aggregate form for operational purposes.
- • Data removal is completed within 24 hours of the scheduled deletion date.
- • Deletion cannot be reversed once the scheduled date has passed.
If you have an active paid subscription, initiating account deletion also cancels your subscription at the period end. No partial-period refunds are issued.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to resolve any legal matter arising from these Terms.
